I became familiar with Kurilean Bobtails by accident when I was visiting Russia in 2010. I heard a lot of stories and legends about these marvelous fairytale creatures who have exceptional -uncatlike- long hind legs and rabbits’ tail.
When I got to know more about the Kurilean Bobtail, I was sold. I was fascinated by the shape of the cats’ tail, their character and rareness in Finland. The members of my family also accepted the breed right away and so arrived our first “bobcat” Marski in August 2010 from a Russian cat breeder Island Julapp.
